We are honored to invite you to United Way of Essex and West Hudson's Annual "Night of Miracles" Gala. The event will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, New Jersey. Proceeds from the Gala ensure that United Way of Essex and West Hudson's three focus areas Education, Income and Health will continue to provide services to the infants, children and families in the Essex and West Hudson region.

This year we will honor individuals in each of these areas who make the greater Essex-West Hudson region a better place for all. The honorees include:

This year we are honored to have special guest speaker Mr. Jerry Reese, Vice President and General Manager of the NY Giants. In 2007, he was the most successful first-year general manager in NFL history, hailed for putting together a dynamic team that achieved a four-game postseason run and an upset victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. He is the first African American genral manager in New York professional football history, and the third of only five Afrian American general managers in NFL history. In 2008, Reese was inducted into the Tenenessee Sports Hall of Fame.
